WHEN NOBODY IS LISTENING is an anonymous interactive feature that invites teachers, parents, students and the community to ask questions, raise concerns, seek consultation and receive expert advice, assistance, and support in response. Questions are submitted below.
To date, most questions reflect difficult topics, including My child thinks he/she is gay – what do I do? My child is being bullied – how can I help? Whom should I speak to at school about specific issues? My child has mentioned that “he/she feels like harming him/herself”. What to do about bullying? How do I help my child deal with school anxiety? Who is the best person to talk to within a school board? The experts include persons with more than 30 years of experience in psychology and education.
